In this paper,we reexamine the method of successive approximation presented byProf.Chien Wei-zang for solving the problem of large deflection of a circular plate,and findthat the method could be regarded as the method of strained parameters in the singularperturbation theory.In terms of the parameter representing the ratio of the centerdeflection to the thickness of the plate,we make the asymptotic expansions of thedeflection,membrane stress and the parameter of load as in Ref.[1],and then give theorthogonality conditions(i.e.the solvability conditions)for the resulting equations,bywhich the stiffness characteristics of the plate could be determined.It is pointed out thatwith the solutions for the small deflection problem of the circular plate and theorthogonality conditions,we can derive the third order approximate relations between theparameter of load and the center deflection and the first-term approximation of membranestresses at the center and edge of the plate without solving the differential equ 相似文献

Motivated by recent progress in viscoelastic indentation analysis, the identification of viscoelastic properties from nanoindentation
test data taking the real tip geometry into account is presented in this paper. Based on the elastic solution of the indentation
problem, the corresponding viscoelastic solution is obtained by the application of the method of functional equations. This
general solution, which accounts for the real geometric properties of the indenter tip, is specialized for the case of a trapezoidal
load history, commonly employed in nanoindentation testing. Three deviatoric creep models, the single dash-pot, the Maxwell,
and the three-parameter model are considered. The so-obtained expressions allow us to determine viscoelastic model parameters
via back calculation from the measured load–penetration history. The presented approach is illustrated by the identification
of short-term viscoelastic properties of bitumen. Hereby, the influence of loading rate, maximum load, and temperature on

One considers, in this paper, the motion of a mechanical system in a nonstationary field of potential and positional forces, subject to the action of rheonomic holonomic and nonholonomic linear homogeneous constraints. Assuming that differential equations of motion of the system considered satisfy the conditions for the existence of Painlevé's integral of energy, formulated in [Painlevé, P., 1897. Leçons sur l'intégration des équations de la Mécanique, Paris] and [Appell, P., 1911. Traité de mécanique rationnelle, T. II, Dynamique des systémes – Mécanique analitique, Gauthier-Villars, Paris] and generalized in [Čović, V., Vesković, M., 2004. On stability of motion of a rheonomic system in the field of potential and positional forces, BAMM-1720/2004, No-2233, 93–100] and [Čović, V., Vesković, M., 2005. Hagedorn's theorem in some special cases of rheonomic systems. Mechanics Research Communications 32 (3), 265–280], the original mechanical system is substituted by an equivalent one whose Lagrangian function, nontransformed with respect to nonholonomic constraints, does not depend on time explicitly. Using the properties of the equivalent system, which, in contrast to the original one, moves in a stationary field of potential forces and in a nonstationary field of gyroscopic forces, the definition of cyclic coordinates is generalized, as well as sufficient conditions for the existence of (cyclic) first integrals, corresponding to coordinates mentioned and linear in velocities are established. Further, the conditions for the existence of steady motion of the system considered are found. In the case of existence of such a motion of the system, the Theorem of Routh's type on stability of that motion, based on the minimum of reduced potential for which it is shown that, in contrast to known cases (see, for example, [Gantmacher, F., 1975. Microcantilevers have recently received widespread attentions due to their extreme applicability and versatility in both biological and non-biological applications. Along this line, this paper undertakes the non-linear vibrations of a piezoelectrically driven microcantilever beam as a common configuration in many scanning probe microscopy and nanomechanical cantilever biosensor systems. A part of the microcantilever beam surface is covered by a piezoelectric layer (typically ZnO), which acts both as an actuator and sensor. The bending vibrations of the microcantilever beam are studied considering the inextensibility condition and the coupling between electrical and mechanical properties in the piezoelectric materials. The non-linear terms appear in the form of quadratic expression due to presence of piezoelectric layer, and cubic form due to geometrical non-linearities. The Galerkin approximation is then utilized to discretize the equations of motion. In addition, the method of multiple scales is applied to arrive at the closed form solution for the fundamental natural frequency of the system. An experimental setup consisting of a commercial piezoelectric microcantilever attached on the stand of a state-of-the-art microsystem analyzer for non-contact vibration measurement is utilized to verify the theoretical developments. It is found that the experimental results and theoretical findings are in good agreement, which demonstrates that the non-linear modeling framework could provide a better dynamic representation of the microcantilever than the previous linear models. Due to microscale nature of the system, excitation amplitude plays an important role since even a small change in the amplitude of excitation can lead to significant vibrations and frequency shift. 相似文献

目前,MRD结构的分析通常只考虑水平地震动而不考虑竖向地震动的影响,地面的水平运动和竖向运动具有相关性,从而影响控制效果.因此对双向地震耦合作用下MRD结构的理论进行研究,建立动力分析模型并得出运动微分方程.以8层MRD结构为例进行地震反应分析,研究表明,考虑和不考虑竖向地震作用,MRD对结构均有良好的控制作用,但是竖向地震作用的存在,使结构各层的层间位移峰值有不同程度的增加,其增量随着竖向地震作用的增加而增加,因此建议在高烈度地区的建筑物考虑竖向地震作用对结构的影响.建立MRD结构优化设计模型,采用IHGA程序对结构进行优化设计.结果表明, MRD结构在各种工况下的各项地震反应均得到更好的控制. 相似文献

The variation of the flow-rate of a fluid flowing out of a prefilled cylindrical vessel through sinkholes with a diameter less than 0.1 of the vessel diameter has been studied experimentally. The study was carried out in both the presence and the absence of a vortex funnel around the sinkhole. In these experiments the vessel was filled in such a way that a funnel was formed only when a disk immersed in the fluid was rotated before the sinkhole was opened. The time dependence of the flow-rate is found for various initial heights and rates of artificial swirl. Four different outflow stages were detected. It is shown that for certain flow parameters there is a time interval on which the fluid flow-rate is independent of the column height. A critical rotation velocity W
